| The Center for Breast and Body Contouring is pleased to announce the addition of Andrea Van Pelt, M.D. to their team of physicians. Dr. Van Pelt specializes in both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face, breast and body. As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Van Pelt enjoys the privilege of making a positive impact on peoples' lives, helping them feel good about themselves with improved confidence and a fresh outlook on life.
Originally from Texas, Dr. Van Pelt earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her general surgery and plastic surgery residency at Washington University in St Louis, MO. During residency, Dr. Van Pelt dedicated a year of research to the study of 3-dimensional face and head shapes through the Craniofacial Imaging Laboratory at Washington University. Her research involved global collaboration with the engineers and doctors at the University of Copenhagen. Dr. Van Pelt recently completed a highly competitive aesthetic and laser surgery fellowship with internationally-recognized Los Angeles plastic surgeon Grant Stevens, M.D.
Dr. Van Pelt is a highly skilled plastic surgeon, well-trained in all facets of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Special areas of interest include facelift and necklift, browlift and blepharoplasty (eyelids), rhinoplasty (nose), otoplasty (ears), chin augmentation, facial trauma, breast lift, breast augmentation, male and female breast reduction, breast reconstruction, inverted nipple correction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), mommy makeovers, liposuction and body reshaping, particularly after significant weight loss. Dr. Van Pelt also performs facial rejuvenation with Botox and injectable fillers. Dr. Van Pelt obtains beautiful and natural results that enhance a person's appearance.
A recent newlywed, Dr. Van Pelt and her husband enjoy spending time with their "kids," Kitty and Juno. She enjoys hiking, traveling, exploring Michigan, and recently discovered show-shoeing. Dr. Van Pelt also likes to channel her artistic talents through painting.
