"The staff was warm, friendly,
knowledgeable, and caring..."
"Breast cancer has run throughout
my family, every generation for many, many
years. Both my sister and I felt we should
and could avoid the same fate if we had
mastectomies and, since we are both relatively
young, reconstructive surgery. We chose
Dennis Hammond to help us achieve that goal.
My sister three years ago, and myself, this
summer (2002).
Although we realize all results are different
and success is defined by different people
in different ways, we would not choose to
change what we have done, nor whom we chose
to be our partner in the endeavor. Achieving
peace of mind and perhaps, in the long run,
body, is invaluable.
Dr. Hammond himself is a work of art, and
he views his patients as the same. His charismatic
personality, ready smile and comforting
attitude are invaluable. I can only assume
he studies each patient, as he did myself,
to discover what, artistically speaking,
would best suit their appearance. Looking
at my reconstruction, it will be difficult
to discern my breasts as "artificial"...
not that I plan to model his work, but knowing
that it is so, makes me feel good as a person,
as a woman, who is still attractive, and
as a wife, and mother.
If one takes the time to view Hammond's
hands, one can easily discern that he has
been given a gift. Whether to play the violin
or to wield a scalpel, it is none the less
a gift. Since I have experienced and appreciate
one side of his talent, I would now love
to hear his music!
Hammond's staff compliments the man they
serve. The ladies I encountered were warm,
friendly, knowledgeable and caring. One
would be hard put to find a more pleasant
and amiable atmosphere or experience, if
indeed mine has been an example!
I would recommend Dr. Hammond and his staff
to friends or family... for that matter,
to anyone who may find themselves in need
of services such as his. I hope I never
need to revisit his office, but if I do,
I will not hesitate to do so."
